Just five minutes out of Dixon, a quaint greenhouse works year-round. While most greenhouses close up and liquidate end-of-season, the Palmyra Greenhouse continues propagating, pruning, and planting. It’s the only full-production greenhouse in the area that is open year-round, 6 days a week. They offer horticulture advice and direction, local delivery, educational opportunities, Illinois grown plants, and more.
James Fifelski and Gary Scott moved from Minneapolis in 2005 ago to open the greenhouse, where painted cows dot the front lawn. Fifelski operates as owner/builder, while Scott, with a degree in horticulture, oversees plant care.
It features high-quality pottery, home decor, 1st-quality custom Euro baskets, and custom container design.
