📍Morrison-Rockwood State Park 🗺️ 18750 Lake Rd, Morrison, IL 61270 This state park is perfect right now for Fall colors. Campground is quiet and spacious. Each site has electricity, grill and a table. A shower building with flush toilets is available from May 1 through October 31. A trailer dump station is conveniently located near the campground. Most sites are flat. I would recommend 28 91 26. Or 82 83 is closest to showers. It is perfect for horses as they have 14 miles of trail. It also has a model airplane site for flying. Kayaking and fishing ( there is rentals available) and a restaurant and somewhere to buy bait. Camping is only $20 Closest gas + groceries + laundromat is 15 mins away. 📋What to do? ✅Hiking ✅Morrison covered bridge is just down the road ( photo in pics) ✅Heritage Canyon ✅De Immigrant Windmill ✅Apple River Canyon State Park ✅Visit the historical town of Clinton, Iowa ✅Mississippi Palisades State Park ✅John Deere Historical Site ✅Visit the town Ronald Regan was born, Tampico ✅Clinton Area Showboat Theater Are just some of the many things to do in the area.
