Our History

Set directly across the street from the well-preserved White Pines Forest State Park, The Cabins at Pine Creek (formally Pine Creek Family Cabins) were built in 2001 by Elizabeth George. After operating the 25 cabins, lodge restaurant, and gift shoppe in White Pines State Park for 12 years, Elizabeth saw an opportunity to accommodate larger families and wedding parties. She is also the creator of the Pine Creek Canyon, formally known as the Wedding Canyon—a venue with hundreds of weddings on its roster over the past 18 years. Now, we’re carrying on the tradition, offering the same service in a great place to gather. The original White Pines Resort has been a staple of the local area and is part of the National Historic Registry. Right in the middle of 400 acres of forest, the resort has offered a sanctuary for rest and relaxation for nearly a century.
