Savanna’s annual Christmas Walk returns on Friday, November 28, from 5–8 p.m., bringing festive cheer to downtown for an evening of lights, music, and holiday fun. The night begins with a Lighted Christmas Parade at 5 p.m., followed by visitors strolling through local businesses and enjoying seasonal activities throughout town.
Families will find plenty to do, including the “Festival of Trees” and Model Train Display at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center, photos and letters to Santa at the Fire Station, and hands-on kids’ crafts and 4-H activities. Enjoy wagon rides hosted by the Savanna/Times Theater, warm up by the fire pits, visit the petting zoo, and take part in community favorites like the Cookie Contest and Cookie Walk at Citizens State Bank. Silent auction items will be available at TBK Bank, and The Novel Bloom will be serving cozy drinks. Live music by Swany Connection adds to the holiday atmosphere, and the Polar Express crew will be offering hot chocolate plus jambalaya and gumbo sales to raise funds for “Santa for Seniors.”
It’s an evening full of small-town magic, holiday spirit, and shared community joy.
