Fulton Dutch Days returns to downtown Fulton, Illinois on May 1–2, 2026, celebrating the community’s rich Dutch heritage with a weekend of family-friendly activities and cultural traditions. First launched in 1974, the festival is held each year on the first full weekend in May and has become one of the region’s signature spring events.
Visitors can browse an arts and crafts market, enjoy a variety of food vendors, and take part in activities for all ages. Festival highlights include traditional Dutch folk dancing, a costume show, and demonstrations by a wooden shoe carver—offering a glimpse into the customs and craftsmanship that shaped the area’s history. A classic car and tractor show, exhibitions, and children’s activities round out the weekend’s entertainment.
While in town, guests are encouraged to explore local attractions such as the historic windmill museum and the scenic riverfront, home to de Immigrant Windmill. Downtown shops and nearby historical sites also offer plenty to discover, making Dutch Days a festive way to experience Fulton’s culture, history, and community spirit.
