The Dixon Municipal Band’s next concert returns to The Dixon Historic Theatre on March 28, 2026, featuring internationally acclaimed saxophonist Tom Scott. This free evening of live music promises a dynamic showcase of talent from one of the industry’s most accomplished performers.
Tom Scott is a renowned composer, arranger, producer, music director, and educator whose 33 solo recordings have earned 13 Grammy nominations and three Grammy Awards. Over the course of his career, he has appeared on more than 2,000 recordings with legendary artists including Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Aerosmith, and many more. His work also spans major film soundtracks and television themes, and he has served as musical director for the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and the People’s Choice Awards.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with pre-concert music by Saxophonic Sounds, followed by the Dixon Municipal Band concert featuring Tom Scott at 7 p.m. Earlier in the day, attendees can participate in a special free clinic with Tom Scott from 1–2 p.m. (RSVP required).
