Fulton is proud to announce its recent addition to the Ronald Reagan Trail. The former U.S. President’s ancestral lineage began in Fulton in the mid-1800’s. President Ronald Reagan’s parents were both born and married in Fulton, Illinois. The former President’s father, John Edward Reagan, worked in a dry goods store in downtown Fulton and his mother, Nellie Clyde Reagan, worked as a milliner in Fulton. Several of the former President’s relatives including grandparents and aunts and uncles, are buried in the Fulton Catholic Cemetery.
