Prophetstown State Park/Recreation Area, along the south bank of the Rock River, is a scenic and historic area offering a variety of recreational facilities. The 53-acre park was once the site of an Indian village. Coon Creek flows through the park and feeds into the Rock River, creating a natural area for fish. The shady recreational area offers picnicking and camping with electrical service, a dump station, restrooms and showers, playground equipment, a small shelter, horseshoe courts, and a hiking trail.
