The ranch is not only a summer camp for thousands of children but also offers special event weekend getaways annually. There is a Crafter’s Weekend, Family Weekend in September, and an Adult’s Only Weekend in November. These getaways include lodging, food, beverages, and many fun indoor and outdoor activities.

For more information, go to their website and look under “Our Programs.”

About the Ranch

The buildings are modern structures built along the lines of the Old West. The air-conditioned dormitories have bunk beds, carpeting, electrical heating, and adjoining bathrooms with showers, flush toilets, and vanities with mirrors. The main lodge has a large dining hall where home-cooked meals are served buffet style. The game room and souvenir shop offer a chance to relax and enjoy video games or browse through our many inexpensive Western souvenirs, including tee shirts and sweatshirts.

Our ranch offers horseback riding, swimming (in season), hiking through our beautiful sandstone canyon, horse studies with grooming, scavenger hunts, mapping, orienteering, outdoor games, fossil hunts, and studying wildlife. Evening activities may include hayrides, Bingo, country line dancing, and campfire songs. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, sledding, and lots of hot chocolate!
