The Center Hill Orchard & Apiary is located in the heart of Carroll County approximately 5 miles west of Mt Carroll in the area called Center Hill. We offer completely natural honey and fresh picked fruit and since fresh fruit is seasonal in nature, we only have product available during mid to late summer and early fall. Open by appointment only. We also have a stand at the Mt Carroll Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings from 8-noon, June – October.
Each piece of fruit is hand-picked at the peak of ripeness when ordered, so that it is as fresh as possible when you eat it. Therefore, we are a seasonal business only offering products when they ripen. There is nothing more refreshing than a fresh off-the-tree piece of fruit!
Our honey, available in liquid 1 to 3 lb jars or as comb honey, is only available when the bee’s say it’s ready. Our honey is completely natural as we sell what’s extracted from the honey comb with no processing other than filtering out pieces of wax and other non-honey items. Our honey is never heated so it will crystallize if it’s left too long.
The fruit we offer includes pie and sweet cherrys; several varieties of peaches; Bartlett and several varieties of Asian pears; several variety of apples and the following varieties of berries: blueberry, red and black raspberries and goji berries.
