Housed in a 130 year-old former church, the Lyndon Area Historical Society museum is a unique and charming venue for your next social, club, business, educational or family event. The chapel, with its impressive stained glass windows, is an ideal setting for small intimate weddings providing seating for up to 60 people. The acoustics within the chapel are ideal for musical performances as well. A piano is available for your use.

The lower level of the historical society, replete with all the charm of an old-fashioned church basement, is equipped with a fully-functioning kitchen and can also accommodate parties of up to 60 people. The exhibit area of the museum showcases the area's venerable history through both permanent and seasonal displays.

The Lyndon Area Historical Society is located just blocks away from the Lyndon Bridge which is on the National Registry of Historic Places and the Veteran's Memorial. Both locations offer ideal photo opportunities.  Check us out on Facebook!

Currently, the Lyndon Area Historical Society is open by appointment only. Please contact Kris Bielema (815-499-4015) for further information.
