Located in historic Mt Carroll on the campus of the former Shimer College. The 14-acre campus includes over 200 trees (60 different species or varieties), some of which are more than 100 years old. One of the trees is an American chestnut that is on the Illinois Register of Big Trees as the largest chestnut tree in Illinois.
