Deitricks’ Alpaca Ranch is located in scenic Prophetstown, Illinois, on a little 50-acre farm surrounded by good corn, hay, and bean country. Our ranch is currently home to 70 Huacaya alpacas and growing! We continue to strive to build a happy, healthy herd of show-quality alpacas with our emphasis on fiber excellence and color diversity.
The rare and exotic alpaca is a creature of antiquity rapidly gaining popularity worldwide and has already captured our hearts. Alpacas are raised for their beautiful fleece and produce one of the finest fibers in the world, as soft as cashmere and warmer and lighter weight than wool. Alpacas are highly prized for their luxurious coats.
