Located within Lowell Park, the Ruth Edwards Nature Center is open to the public and a great place to start your visit of historic Lowell Park. While visiting the Center, you will be able to get a map of the park, advice from the naturalist staff on hiking, as well as other recreational opportunities. Each weekend there is a new activity for kids of all ages to participate in.
Environmental education classes are available through the Dixon Park District for students of all ages. Classes are designed to provide students with structured, hands-on learning that promotes a better understanding of the natural world and strengthens positive environmental values
