There is easy access to hiking, fishing, trail running, bird watching, cross country skiing, and much more! The Grist Mill stands as a welcome and interpretive center with a working water-powered grinding operation. Just to the north of the cottage, you can find the 4,000 acre Nachusa Grasslands that has 120 Bison roaming on their land! Dixon is just 15 mins away if you need the hustle and bustle of a city with great restaurants, shops, and activities.
Plenty of parking and you will have access to the house and the acre of land surrounding it, all within the State Natural Area. Come, relax, and have a good time!
