Prophetstown State Park/Recreation area, along the south bank of the Rock River, is a scenic and historic area offering a variety of recreational facilities. The 53 acre park was once the site of an Indian village. Coon Creek flows through the park and feeds into the Rock River, creating a natural area for fish. The shady recreational area offers picnicking and camping with electrical service, dump station, rest rooms/showers, playground equipment, a small shelter, horseshoe courts and a hiking trail.
