Dixon is set to host one of the best Sunday Fundays of the year with the Ultimate Tailgate Rib & Chili Cookoff on Oct. 6, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Beanblossom parking lot.

Local and traveling teams will compete in the Beanblossom parking lot, vying for bragging rights with their chili and ribs. A $5 admission fee covers your entry while chili supplies last.

NOTE: This isn’t a rib-tasting event. For those craving a hearty meal, Back Road Bar-B-Q will be on-site, with food available for purchase.

You won’t miss the Bears game

The event starts at noon with the Chicago Bears taking on the Carolina Panthers on a giant outdoor screen, complemented by drink specials and live music.

Top it off with live music!

From noon to 3 p.m., Wild Wrek will perform live, providing the perfect soundtrack for a crisp fall afternoon. The bars in town will join the fun with specials and competitions, making it a lively day in downtown Dixon!
