The Coliseum Museum in Oregon, IL, presents Nature’s Palette: A Landscape Art Exhibit on display from Oct 2 to Nov 16. The exhibit features thirty-five works of art, offering a diverse collection of expressions, approaches, and renderings of landscapes. Artists include Jean Apgar, Cindy Bear, Carol Bingham, Larry Bond, Rick Borrett, Beverly Ashley Broyles, Janice Conkrite, Joanne Farrey, Julie Grendahl, Steve Hart, Kat Heitzman, Linnea Koch, Paula Kuehl, Joy Meyer, Ellen Mumford, Betty Predmore, Tamara Shriver and Lucinda Winterfield.
Artist reception
The Coliseum Museum hosts the Artist Reception on Friday, Oct 18, from 6-8 p.m. The event will feature music by Cheryl & the Down Home Boys, who perform a mix of roots music: Old-Time Country, Rockabilly, Folk, Standards, and more!
Business hours are Wednesday thru Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Vote for your favorite piece.
Visitors to the Coliseum Museum will be allowed to vote for their favorite art piece, and the People’s Choice Award winner will be announced at the end of the exhibit. The October schedule also includes exhibits by watercolor artist Dick Cholke of Pecatonica on the Feature Walls, abstract work by Rick Ankeney of Galesburg in the Lowden Gallery, and pastel artist Paula Kuehl of McHenry in the Taft Gallery.
