Marques Morel at the Museum
May 31 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Doors open at 7 p.m.
On Friday, May 31, at 7:30 p.m., Marques Morel performs and entertains at the Savanna Museum in Savanna, IL.
About Marques Morel
If you haven’t heard this American songwriter-folk singer, street-performing troubadour before, you are in for a special treat. Fans have referred to Marques Morel as “raw and rustic,” “guts on the floor,” and “wild, dark, fun, and unpredictable” due to his intense and contagious stage energy and his gritty and honest songwriting and performance. He may even inspire you to swing around the floor with your partner (the committee has promised to leave some floor space for any two-steppers in attendance).
As usual, the museum’s community room will be set up in a cabaret seating style with small tables adorned with a tablecloth and candlelight. Marc Smith, a consummate entertainer and poet performer, will MC the night.
The friendly events team will offer wine, coffee, water, and light snacks.
A donation of $10 per person is suggested at the door to help support the Savanna Historical Society, a not-for-profit organization that provides these events.
