Hay Day in downtown Rochelle is Saturday, October 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rochelle Gazebo and throughout the downtown area.

This family-friendly fall event features a petting zoo, giant inflatables, rock climbing, hay rides, and more. Children are welcome to come in costume and may even find a treat.

The second annual Straw Sculpting Competition is held downtown throughout the festival. Voting happens at City Hall, and the winner will be announced during Hay Day! There is plenty of good food, with the Rochelle Fire Department serving their festival-famous pork chop sandwiches and Hicks BBQ.

Businesses, organizations, and crafty individuals are invited to join in the fun and create a straw or hay sculpture and enter the competition.
