Feel what it was like to celebrate the holidays in the past. An event known as Christmas in the Canyon takes place yearly in Wierenga’s Heritage Canyon, which is located in Fulton, Illinois. This recreated frontier settlement from the 1800s features free cookies and hot beverages, as well as historical reenactors dressed in clothing from the era they are portraying, lantern lighting after dark, and more.

Attendees will get the opportunity to sing carols in the church, visit with Santa Claus in the ironworks shop, and observe the blacksmith as he works with molten metal. This is going to be a fantastic Christmas celebration!
