Mt Carroll’s downtown will once again turn into the pumpkin capital of NW Illinois on October 28 during the Mt Carroll Pumpkin Fest. Organized by the Chamber of Commerce, it will offer a variety of family-friendly activities to help get you in the spirit of Halloween.
Activities include the Kids & Critters Costume Parade, Halloween Storytime & Crafts at the Library, Decorate-a-pumpkin activity, decorated pumpkin contest, pumpkin cousin Mini Gourd decorating & races, pumpkin slingshot and the Kunes Country Pumpkin Street Drags at 2 pm.
Food and Farmer's Market too
There will be food vendors and the Farmer's Market will open at 8 am.
8:00 am Farmer's Market
10 am - Professor B3 and his Bubbles
10:30 - Kids & Critters Costume Parade kicks off at the corner of Main & Market St and ends at the Library where they can participate in a Halloween Story & Craft Time for ages Pre-S - 4th grade.
10:30 am - Decorated-a-Pumpkin Activity and Decorated Pumpkin Contest
10:30 am - MIni Pumpkin Gourd Decorating & Races (ages pre-school - 6th grade)
11:30 - 1:30 pm Pumpkin Sling Shot
10 am - 2 pm Pumpkin Street Bowling in front of Bowling Center
2:00 pm Kunes Country Great Pumpkin Street Drag Races (registration starts at 12:30 pm)
