Every season is a good season for hiking

Take a winter hike with Byron Forest Preserve Supt. of Education, Mark Herman.

Tour the Bald Hill Prairie Preserve which is home to the biggest tree in Illinois.

It's a challenging walk. Wear good shoes.

See the major oak savanna restoration efforts going on at this new preserve. This will be a challenging walk along steep hills with great views. Come join us for this free program.  Please dress for the weather and due to the terrain, this event is open to ages 10 years and older.   

Meet at the Bald Hill parking lot located at 5502 N Silver Creek Rd, Mt Morris.
