CONCERT: A Madrigal Evening

NOV 8 | 7 p.m. | Annual Phidian Musicale

Forget the cares of everyday life and imagine yourself in Renaissance England, welcomed by the king and his court to the royal winter manor for laughter and music. Dixon's Phidian Art Club and Highland Community College (of Freeport) present "A Madrigal Evening." This event takes place at First Presbyterian Church in the Fellowship Hall, located at 110 E. 3rd St. in Dixon, starting at 7 p.m.

Get in the holiday spirit

The annual Phidian Musicale includes musical pieces from Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, Renaissance Madrigals, and traditional seasonal songs, as well as some humorous and parody music.

Sweets and coffee will be served. The concert is free and open to the public. What a wonderful way to begin the holiday season.
