Maple Syrup Festival | Byron

A very "sweet" day indeed
Mar. 18 | 8-11 a.m. | Byron Forest Preserve
Bring your family out for a yummy breakfast and learn how they make maple syrup.
The evaporator will be running, while the staff is available for free tours and to answer questions. Explore the pioneer farm while learning about early farms in Illinois, how settlers learned to make sap from the Native Americans, see a tapped tree, and explore pioneer tools and crafts with hands-on demonstrations.
Some bottled syrup will be available for purchase; the amount is weather-dependent.
Admission
Fee: $7 for adults, $5 for children 4-12 years, and 3 and under are free
