Look. Up in the sky!

The Byron Forest Preserve District will be hosting its annual Perseid Meteor Watch event on August 10, 11 & 12, 2021 from 9:00 pm until midnight.

Come out to the Weiskopf Observatory and enjoy this annual meteor shower event. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and dress for the weather.  Children must be with an adult.

It's a no-go if it's cloudy

This event will be canceled in case of cloudy skies. Call 815-234-8535 ext. 216 for viewing conditions.
