Sterling-Rock Falls Jaycees Independence Day Celebration
A new location for fireworks
July 3, Friday, 8:30 - 11:30 pm | Sterling/Rock Falls Riverfront
This year the Sterling-Rock Falls Jaycees is having their fireworks show in a new location and will shoot them off over the Rock River. The fireworks will be set up on the evening of July 3 at the new riverfront park off Wallace Street in Sterling; the show will start at 8:30 p.m.
Below is a photo of the downtown area showing where the shoot will take place, please note the comments in the image for closures. We recommend parking anywhere in downtown area in public lots on the sterling side and the same for RF. We will also be facilitating parking in the lot across from Holiday Inn surrounding the McCormick Event center, courtesy of McCormick Center and Harkness Properties. Once again please try to view the show safely and do not gather in large groups. Staying near or in your car may be the safest alternative and maintain the 6ft distance from those not in your household per recent guidelines. Enjoy the show!
Keeping folks safe
The decision to move the fireworks to the riverfront is to ensure the state's Social Distancing Guidelines can be followed and the event can be done safely.
