SWARBRICK FAMILY ART EXHIBITION AT TNPS
Sat April 13th the Next Picture Show in Dixon will host a special art show honoring the life of local artist Frances Swarbrick. The event will run from 6:00pm – 8:00pm and will include live music by Cheryl & the Down Home Boys.
The display features 40 works of art by Fran as well as 18 original art pieces by her daughter Bonnie Swarbrick of Tucson, AZ.
Bonnie has also written a newly published book about her mother titled “A Life Dedicated to Art and Culture”. The 226 page book features a biography, profile of careers with more than half a selection of Fran’s art over the years. The book will be available for sale during the show.
Frances Elsa (Pervier) Swarbrick, 95, died Jan. 25, 2018, at her country home near Dixon. Fran was best known for her paintings and murals that grace the walls of many homes in the area as well as the Northwest Historical Center, Heritage Square and Loveland Museum, Her painting of President Ronald Reagan standing at Lowell Park, now hangs in the Reagan Presidential Library in California. She was an accomplished poet and author, as well.
