Franklin Creek Grist Mill 20th Anniversary Celebration
Starts at 5 p.m. and it's free!
On Thursday, May 16, the Franklin Creek Conservation Assoc invites you to join them as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the building of the Franklin Creek Grist Mill. The public is invited to the party that begins at 5 pm and refreshments will be served.
The Franklin Creek Grist Mill serves as the Visitor Center for the Franklin Creek State Natural Area. While the grist mill is owned by the State, it is operated by the volunteer group who funded and built it. The Franklin Creek Conservation Association (a.k.a. Franklin Grove Creek and Preservation Corps) is a nonprofit group who raises money to keep the mill open to the public. They conduct guided nature walks and stewardship days April through October.
