A concert of solo harp music will be presented by Mark Brewer at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center, 406 Main St. in Savanna.

Brought back by popular demand, the evening concert will feature an evening of beautiful acoustic harp music, with selections from classical to jazz.

Brewer began studying the harp at the age of 11 and continued studies at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Music and continued with graduate studies at Boston University.

An active freelance musician, he has extensive experience as a soloist, ensemble performer and recording artist. He has performed with the Chicago Civic Orchestra, Boston Opera Concert, Chicago Jazz Orchestra, Dubuque Symphony and many other orchestras in Illinois and Michigan. He now resides in Savanna with his wife, Mona.

Cabaret seating will be limited with advance tickets available from Savanna Historical Society members or call Juliene at 815-275-5955 or Ann at 815-275-1958. A $10 donation will be appreciated. Come, enjoy a delightful evening of music, wine, cheese and chocolates!

Proceeds from the event will go toward future programming and renovations of the Cultural Center
