What's Cookin' Fundraiser at Barnacopia
A very tasty Fundraiser
The 6th Annual Rock River Center fundraiser, “What’s Cookin,” is Saturday, April 13, from 5-8 pm at the Barnacopia Farm Museum located at 2570 N Westbranch Rd, in Polo.
This popular event involves teams of chefs preparing an appetizer, side dish, main dish or dessert. You are invited to attend this evening of great food, music, and fun at the Barnacopia Farm Museum all while supporting a worthy cause. Go to the web link for information and to purchase tickets.
This is the spring fundraiser for Rock River Center. It welcomes three celebrity chefs and plenty of food and sweet treats and nearly two dozen teams cooking and creating their specialty dishes.
A Junior Chef’s division is also part of the fun.
This year’s celebrity chefs are: Marilyn Csernus, a University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator and certified diabetes educator; Andy Colbert, a Certified Executive Chef of the American Culinary Federation; and Aaron Wilson, 23 News This Morning Anchor.
The trio will judge the Best of Show in five divisions: appetizers, side dish, main dish, dessert, and junior division.
